2012 PTSA Senior Scholarships Available!
All seniors in CUSD high schools who are PTSA members as of February 29, 2012 and have met certain minimum academic requirements are invited to apply.
California State PTA Scholarships
This scholarship recognizes volunteer service in the school and community and does not have a grade point average requirement. An application may be obtained from the California State PTA website at www.capta.org. Forms are due on February 1, 2012.
Capistrano Unified Council of PTSAs (CUCPTSA)
CUCPTSA maintains a scholarship fund to acknowledge deserving seniors in the areas of academics, community service and personal achievements, with an emphasis on community service. To qualify, applicants must have maintained a 2.0 grade point average. An application may be obtained from the CUCPTSA website at www.cucptsa.com. Forms must be postmarked no later than March 23, 2012.
DHHS PTSA Scholarships
The Dana Hills High School scholarship program recognizes the achievements of graduating seniors for volunteer service in the school and/or community. The minimum award will be $500. Eligible students must be a member of DHHS PTSA as of February 29, 2012, and have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0. An application may be obtained from the DHHS PTSA website, www.dhhsptsa.com, and also in the Guidance Office. Forms are due April 16, 2012.
Teri Lynn O’Brien Memorial Scholarship
In recognition of her dedication to the students of CUSD and DHHS (DHHS PTSA President 2005-2007) and her strong commitment to education, her family and friends have established the Teri Lynn O’Brien Memorial Scholarship. A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior with financial need, a commitment to advancing their education, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and who has demonstrated a commitment to their school and community through volunteer service. An application may be obtained from www.dhhsptsa.com or the Guidance Office. Forms are due April 16, 2012.
